ABOUT THE PROJECT

After Alicia is deceived by fake family news, she is forced to spend some days with Bianca and Nora, her mother and grandmother.
Years of silence and distrust pulled Alicia apart from her family. However, Nora’s disconnection with reality will push Alicia closer to Bianca and open the door to learn about their past.
Marked by persecution and clandestinity, history will surface and deepen the tension between politics, faith and family.
Synopsis
Statement
from The director
"I want to make this film because I am interested in the way political violence survives within families through silence, routines and fragmented memories. The story explores three generations of women shaped differently by a traumatic past that is never fully spoken about, but still deeply present in their daily lives.
Set in Argentina, the film reflects on the lasting emotional impact of Latin American dictatorships and the ways fear and repression continue to echo across generations.
This story is also deeply personal to me. It is inspired by experiences of political violence and persecution that my own family went through, and by growing up surrounded by stories, silences, and behaviors whose origins were not always openly discussed. I am eager to explore how collective trauma becomes part of domestic life and why remembering feels especially urgent today, at a time when historical memory is increasingly fragile and contested."
