Script Development
Description: Free workshop that addresses, in a very dynamic way, the cinematic script and the way stories can be told within cinema, emphasizing practice (preparation for projects) and structuring the script.
Format: FOUR MEETINGS lasting 3 hours and ONE final MEETING lasting 2 hours.
Module 1:Introduction to story creation and audiovisual storytelling

What makes a good story and what is an audiovisual script?;

Formatting a script;

Deconstruction of a scene;

Brainstorm exercise and group division.
Module 2:The structure of a film

The evolution of the script to its classic structure;

Turning points and the hero's journey;

Understanding the rules first so that one day you can break them;

Archiplot, miniplot and antiplot.
Module 3:Characters and their arcs

What makes a good character?;
-
Dramatic need and arcs (long and short);

Archetypes;
-
Exercises to better understand your character (50 questions and description).
Module 4:Formatting and thinking about production

The bible: logline, synopsis, argument and scale;

Audiovisual panorama in Brazil;
-
Exchange of scripts: scripts will change hands so that each group can read and leave comments on their colleague's project, encouraging discussion and collaboration;

Presenting your project.
Module 5:Pitching

Each group will present their project to their colleagues and three judges;
-
Feedback and closure.
Required infrastructure:
